The Plenum of the Diputación Provincial de Huelva Andalucista approved the motion calling for the explicit support of the "Carnival Island Cristina. "
Andalucista Speaker, Francisco Zamudio, has won the unanimous support of all the Provincial Corporation that "it calls for an Institutional Declaration in support of the Carnaval de Isla Cristina," leaving to the discretion of the government team's level of support economic, the cultural and tourist importance the party belongs. Therefore, this new Institutional Declaration adds to all awards granted declarations and deserved homage to the only Carnival in the province of Huelva that remained, along with those of Cadiz and Tenerife, in the years of dictatorship.
As the motion said, "The Carnival of Isla Cristina was born in this population-Isla Cristina, at the same time as a people was formed and since then has been an explosion concerning cultural, artistic, musical, plastic and freedom" .

Finally, Zamudio wanted to thank all the Provincial Corporation affirmative vote that allowed the Hon. Diputación Provincial de Huelva declare institutionally the "Carnaval de Isla Cristina" and "festival of culture and tourism of the province."
