The incompetence of the Director of the National Police, Octavio Salazar, are monumental and this directorcito that makes "clappers" of his master, the Interior Minister the APRA-and incompetent-Luis Alva Castro. Each time the two committed some "buffalo" end looking away and changing the subject. Is that both have a masterful coordination for incompetence, at this point one wonders if they are so incompetent or did not do but to play along with Alan Garcia and its pseudo thinking dog in the manger. Now after seeing all that happened I think it is rather the latter.
recall that earlier this year arrested seven people who participated in a Bolivarian Congress in Quito, baseless accusations that came from a meeting of terrorists, seven were virtually kidnapped by the police. A super excited and plump Octavio Salazar went to the press very proud, almost to tears, saying she had given a blow to terrorism, but did not present any evidence of the guilt of the detainees. Now after several months have quietly been releasing almost all the detainees, one by one, but of course our dear national media hardly emphasize the fact, however extensive reports devoted to the capture of these "terrorists" who were to destabilize the country during the summit, something that never happened, can there be something in the country more destabilizing for the APRA party? I doubt it. Six have been released but let's not forget Roque Gonzales, who is unjustly imprisoned.
After the summit on the streets heightened discontent, food prices continued to rise and the psycho-social "Tulicienta" had gone out of fashion, so I had to try to entertain people as it is, well General Salazar again, which jester came once more to fulfill this task. He ordered all his troops to arrest offenders Callao, all media coverage was impressive, and indeed it seemed that something did because in every corner of Callao police could be seen on almost every block or walk in groups through the streets, Callao looked more like a disaster zone. If however a couple of weeks after such a media operating in the Port of things have not improved, "and where are the police? How is that for the cameras may have police on every corner and weeks after all of these disappear by magic?.
Finally, this case cyclists arrested in Larcomar and produced after much media attention as the "Curse of Larcomar" sincerely and to make you laugh, but of course nothing of grace should cause the riders or their families. And also obviously something very serious is the criminalization of protest, the answer to the question of where were the police is clear, they now are to protect citizens from crime, Octavio Salazar has turned into a local police repression against the people who protest against neoliberal APRA government, which has given carte blanche to attack as he pleases against the demonstrators, the clearest evidence is the repression of students at San Marcos University, students peacefully protesting against the illegal expropriation of their land by the rightwing mayor of Lima, Luis Castaneda Lossio. These students were brutally repressed by police.
